小时候的我，常常陪着爸爸看电视。

晚间新闻，黄金八点档，还是科幻故事..

很多时候，看着看着，我就会不知不觉地睡着了..

这时候，爸爸强大的臂弯就会像太极拳一样，柔中带刚的把我抱上楼上的房间。

帮我盖完被后，自己回到房里去睡觉..

爸爸的臂弯，很柔，也很刚。

柔得可以不把我吵醒的抱上楼上，让我想继续睡在他的臂弯..

刚得可以把体重跟着年龄上升的我，抱上有超过30级的楼梯..

有时候看电视看得累了、困了，但不致于睡着的时候，我还是会装睡，好让爸爸把我抱上楼..

好让我继续沉醉在爸爸那强壮且温柔的臂弯里..

现在回想起这些回忆，心里还真得回有点酸。

在国外自己一个人过生活，真的会回想起很多跟家人的点点滴滴..

现在，好想投进爸爸的怀抱里.. 感受爸爸对我们身为子女,那一份不大会表达的爱..

Although I’ve never met my great-grandmother before, but may her rest in peace.

The person that I worry the most now is my grandmother. She is all alone at Lenggong, Perak now as most of her children are working at outstations. Few years back when she was way much healthier, she used to fly back to China every year for a reunion with great-grandmother and her siblings. But now all she can do is stay here in Malaysia and bare the sadness all by herself.

Pretty much like me, far away from beloved family in a foreign country. I guess she has not much places to tell secrets and feelings to, and I am so sure that this feeling really sucks.

No more rubbish talks here.

Well, I was invited by Ngeok Kuan to go for a walk in Duisburger Weihnachtsmarkt earlier today. So, we had our dinner there and was planning to get some glühwein to warm our body.

Now, here come 0.01% the Second, approaching us silently from our back while we were queuing up waiting to return the bowls and plates and get back the deposit for using them.

“你们是中国人吗” said 0.01% the Second.

Turned our head around and shocked.. Wow.. A German lady speaking Mandarin to us. Well, not so pretty, nerdy look. But hey, at least she was being friendly..

“不是。” 0.01% the Second was surprised to hear our answer, so we explained: “我们是来自马来西亚的华人。” as she continued asking whether we are Japanese or Korean.

“你们知道上帝吗？” asked 0.01% the Second.

We did not hear what she said and was showing some confused faces.

“圣经？” she continued asking.

Oh.. now it’s clear. So she continued to tell us about her story this time. Looks like the fact no. 3 (in previous post) about Germans are true.

Well, she invited us to join her and her friends, some Chinese from China according to her, for Bible reading and understanding session.

Unlike in Malaysia, we would approach foreigners or tourists from other countries and offering help. Our “friendliness” is especially felt by caucasions. This is why tourists’ impression about Malaysians are always something in the list below:

1. Oh, Malaysian? They are friendly.

2. People of Malaysia? Helpful!! Haha!! (Hello? What’s so funny about that?)

3. Oh, you mean the people of the country near Singapore and Thailand? Ow.. They are so warm. (Er… Do you mean the weather?)

So, how “unfriendly” are Germans? Well, maybe they were right about the 99.99% thing. But I was so lucky today to meet the remaining 0.01% today.

So, we were walking on the train platform today after coming back from Oberhausen today. There was suddenly a “warm” voice from my right side asking in German: So, woher kommt ihr? Thailand? Japan? China? (Translation: So, where are you from? Thailand? Japan? China?)

I was so shocked that someone is really approaching us and asking question. Well, the 0.01% is just beside me,

so I was considering myself lucky and answered: Nein, wir kommen aus Malaysia. (Translation: No, we are from Malaysia.)

0.01%: Ach so, Formula Eins? (Translation: Oh, Formula One?) (At last, efforts of Malaysian government are not wasted..)

Me: Ja. (Translation: Yes)

And so we started our conversation but it lasted for just few seconds

as he started to ask me back: Do you know Thailand?

I was thinking inside: Of cause I know. And then 0.01% and his friend started giving us some real fact about Germans that is kept unknown to the world.

Well, they told us their plan to fly to Thailand this coming summer for “Fucking Trip“. Yes, the words “Fucking Trip” popped out of their very own mouth. LOL..

So, from our conversation, we know the facts that Germans are:

1. Stupid. Only want to make fun and fuck. (0.01%’s opinion, not mine, don’t sue me..)

2. Willing to fly across the globe to get Thai girls.

3. Friendly enough to share their “interesting experience”.

And in the end, we were lucky enough because our destinations are not the same. So, sad enough, we have to apart and before that, they took their chance to wish us: Have a good day!

Ow… how friendly and sweet is that..

We will miss you guys.. NOT!

Went to a Vietnamese Restaurant named “Asia Wok” for dinner before exploring the Weihnachtsmarkt. Ordered a fried prawns in sweet and sour sauce with rice. Costs me 6.50€!! @#%$^@(%!

But it was worth it. Asian-style food.. Ahhhh…..  Lecker!!

So, the exploration started after the treat. Our mission today is to go around the biggest and the most beautiful Weihnachtsmarkt in Germany, and to find the largest Christmas Tree.
